The Heath Bookshop welcome globally acclaimed novelist and Festival favourite Elif Shafak (There are Rivers in the Sky), to celebrate her extraordinary new novel, In One Brief Moment All Eternity. Sweeping from revolutionary 19th-century France to Istanbul, Egypt and Beirut, this luminous and deeply moving story explores creativity and resistance in times of upheaval. Reimagining the life of Gustave Flaubert through the women who shaped him, Elif offers a powerful meditation on literature’s enduring role in a fractured world.

Elif Shafak will be in conversation for 45 minutes and this will be immediately followed by 30 minutes of questions from the audience. Copies of the book will be available to purchase and Elif will be signing after the event.
