THE HEATH BOOKSHOP LITERATURE AND MUSIC FESTIVAL –

This event is recommended for children aged 7-10years but all ages are welcome!

Beware! This book is seriously funny (and packed with monsters . . .) Mighty Myths is a spectacular, fun-packed introduction to the magnificent myths and legends of the world. You’ll discover dragons and giants and three-headed monsters . . but don’t panic! Two cheeky ravens will guide you safely on your way. They’ll show you who’s helpful and who’s scary and who might eat you as a snack (very important!) With captivating stories, monster-spotting guides and dazzling illustrations. Join us for a tour around Mighty Myths with its creator Thiago de Moraes.

Thiago de Moraes spends most of his time in a tiny shed at the bottom of his garden, writing and illustrating books, comics and bits of old cardboard boxes. He enjoys telling all sorts of stories and has created books such as Myth Atlas, A Mummy Ate My Homework series and  How Brave is The Wren favourite Old Gods New Tricks. He also creates comics for The Phoenix magazine.

Most importantly he is 90% beard, dangerously fond of bacon and lives in England with his wife, kids and a pet tortoise called Nibbles.

This event is part of The Heath Bookshop Literature & Music Festival and is supported by National Lottery Grants Funding through Arts Council England.

Tickets for this event will be released in January 2026.
