We’re privileged to be working with Muslim Women’s Network UK this month to celebrate Muslim Heritage Month.
A message from Baroness Shaista Gohir OBE, CEO of Muslim Women’s Network UK…
“I established Muslim Heritage Month in response to growing concerns about the increasing normalisation of anti-Muslim bias in Britain. Despite the existence of Islamophobia month, observed in November, I believed there was a need for an additional initiative that could indirectly confront anti-Muslim prejudice through a more celebratory and storytelling-oriented approach.”
We have highlighted some of the titles we stock by Muslim authors or with Muslim characters to join with Muslim Women’s Network UK in this celebratory and storytelling oriented approach to Muslim Heritage Month
